What to Expect

The Swiss start-up mobileup purchases used smartphones, tablets, laptops, and other electronic devices, refurbishes them, and resells them with the goal of maximizing their lifespan and contributing to a more sustainable use of resources. As part of the ongoing evolution of the company’s system landscape, the currently used Microsoft Dynamics CRM is being replaced by a new backend solution. In this context, there is a need for a modern and flexible analytics platform to support data-driven decision-making across operations and product management.

During this internship, you will design and prototype a solution that allows internal users to query data from a central database or API, create custom views, and perform dynamic analyses. You will explore approaches such as Text-to-SQL to simplify database access for non-technical stakeholders. The focus is on building and validating a transferable analytics architecture rather than directly working with production data. Initial work will be based on proof-of-concept implementations using mock or test data, with the objective of developing a system that can later be deployed to production environments once the new backend system becomes available. To identify the most suitable approach, you will evaluate and compare different technologies and solution designs as part of the project.

Your Profile:

• Currently enrolled as a student in a university in Lebanon
• Good programming skills in Python or C#
• Interest in data, analytics and technical problem solving
• Analytical, curious and creative mindset
• Motivation to engage with complex technical questions
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting
• Good knowledge of English
